PMV is an organisation that doesn't see wellbeing as a nice-to-have, but as a must-have. They believe in the importance of balance between physical, mental, and social wellbeing as a key condition for tackling daily tasks with energy and enthusiasm. In collaboration with Better Minds, PMV developed the wellbeing programme Activ8!. This initiative aimed to cultivate a wellbeing culture that would have a positive and lasting impact on the overall work experience.
The process began with Better Minds conducting a Human Capital Scan to assess the current state of wellbeing and identify key focus areas:
The scan provided PMV with a clear overview of both individual and collective wellbeing among its employees.
The next logical step was to design a targeted programme that prioritised mental, physical, and social wellbeing. This programme was led by 16 internal wellbeing ambassadors at PMV, known as wellfluencers. These colleagues received training through a variety of learning methods to deepen their knowledge of wellbeing-related topics.
The Activ8! programme was then launched to all employees, starting with an inspiring event featuring a keynote by Elke Geraerts and sessions led by the Better Minds team. The day also included the theatre performance “Tot onze grote spijt” by Johan Terryn, in which he shared personal stories about dealing with regret and how it can act as a catalyst for both personal and professional growth. This day marked the start of a holistic wellbeing journey, embracing both physical and mental aspects.
On a physical level, the programme included the Millionaire Step Challenge via Golazo Energy’s Keep-Moving platform. In October 2023, teams collectively completed 3,564,208 steps – an average of 9,171 steps per participant per day. In collaboration with Golazo Energy, physical assessments were also offered, such as biological age testing and fitness evaluations. These allowed employees to assess and improve their physical condition.
The programme also included various workshops and skill builders focused on energy management and health, with an emphasis on the connection between movement, sleep, and nutrition – and how these elements contribute to optimal brain function.
The Activ8! programme placed equal importance on mental wellbeing, offering workshops on disconnecting and reconnecting – helping employees to truly switch off and recharge. Through this holistic approach, PMV aimed to create a work environment where employees can thrive both physically and mentally, leading to lasting wellbeing and sustainable productivity.
“Our people are the driving force of PMV, the engine behind our continuous growth and the ambassadors of our professional services. Thanks to their commitment, courage, knowledge and expertise, PMV can fully play its role as a partner of ambitious companies and projects.”
