Aagje was born in Brazil and grew up in Belgium. In the 2000s, she put Belgian gymnastics on the map. Aagje won several World Championship medals. She raked in the very first Belgian gymnastics medal at a European championship. And shone as a finalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics.As a young girl, Aagje took on the challenges of this demanding sport. To do so, she had to constantly overcome doubt and setbacks.
