Jef Willem
Jef Willem is a diverse professional. An experienced TEDx speaker, author, podcast creator, DJ and marketer, he is at home in many fields.
In his popular podcast, 'Onbespreekbaar', he and his best friend Nicolas Overmeire break through taboos regarding mental health. He makes this subject understandable to a wide audience. More than 7 million people from all walks of life have already listened to the engaging conversations. A bestselling author, Jef has held the No. 1 position for no less than 10 weeks with his book “Because we don't talk about this enough."
For 10 years, Jef owned and organised “Trillers,” an international music event. At the same time, he was brand manager for several festivals. And he offered expertise to various companies as a media consultant. These wide-ranging responsibilities brought considerable pressure. They eventually led to a mental breakdown.
Jef did not shy away from confronting himself and his lifestyle. This marked the beginning of a deeper view of his life. In the process, he gained valuable insights that he enjoys sharing with others.
As an inspirational speaker, Jef has now given more than 200 presentations. He covers topics such as overcoming fear of failure, building connections and resilience, finding the right course. Both in personal life and in the workplace.
On March 27 Jef will launch his newest book "Een handleiding voor een leven zonder handleiding", a collection of insights that he could have used over the past ten years, shared with everyone. It doesn’t offer step by step answers, clear frameworks, or promises of certainty. Instead, it opens a space. A space to reflect, to question, and to explore what it means to live without having everything figured out. In a world that constantly pushes us to know, to decide, to be certain, this book moves in a different direction. It invites you to slow down. To sit with doubt rather than eliminate it. To see uncertainty not as a problem to solve, but as an inherent part of a life fully lived.
