Nele Jacobs
Prof. Dr. Nele Jacobs is a psychologist, researcher and keynote speaker who brings science to life. Nele holds a part-time appointment as Professor of Psychology, Leadership and Personal Development at VUB (Brussels School of Governance).
With a solid academic foundation – including a Master’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Health Policy, Economics and Management, a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, a postgraduate degree in cognitive behavioural therapy and experience as a prevention advisor – she translates complex knowledge into clear insights that can be applied immediately.
Through her research and more than twenty scientific publications, Nele helps make mental health challenges and stress signals discussable, showing how we can lower the threshold to timely support. Building on that foundation, she demonstrates how strong prevention and reintegration policies make organizations more resilient, and how qualities of female leadership contribute to cultures in which people feel safe to seek support and to grow.
With her warm personality, accessible style and relatable examples, Nele creates an atmosphere in which people feel seen and new insights naturally land. She invites organizations to build environments where employees can grow safely, resiliently and with a sense of joy.
