As Ultima Ratio, the last resort, there was no margin for mediocrity: they had to be the best at what they did, simply because no one else was coming after them. Cedric De Vlieger rose from the youngest team member ever to team leader at the DSU. Thirteen days after his appointment as team leader, the period of terror began. No run-up, no learning curve.

There he discovered that it is not hierarchy or thick handbooks that keep a team standing under extreme pressure.
