Are you a good listener?

You probably think you are, but chances are you overestimate yourself. Listening is one of our most underestimated skills. You hear with your ears, but listen with your brain. And that brain is often busy with something else.

The result: you hear words, but miss the message. That has an impact on your team, on your decision-making, and ultimately on the success of your organization.

Franka Rolvink Couzy investigated why we listen so poorly. She studied more than 100 scientific articles, interviewed politicians and top managers and observed them in their work. She bundled the insights in her book "Super Listening; Why We Hear Each Other, But Don't Understand Each Other".

In collaboration with Better Minds, she translates this knowledge into a powerful keynote or workshop. Not a standard story, but a confronting and inspiring program about how you can listen differently, even when things get exciting, busy or complex.

Because we do want to listen. But our brain, our ego and time pressure often get in the way. And for managers and leaders this applies even more: the greater the distance to the work floor, the less the ability to listen.
