FrieslandCampina high-impact learning journey for trainees

Client challenge & target audience
In close collaboration with FrieslandCampina, Better Minds designed and facilitated a two-year learning journey tailored to the needs of FrieslandCampina’s trainees across various fields of expertise. The goal was to co-create a program that is centered around FrieslandCampina’s values, leadership competencies and strategic priorities, and rooted in adult learning theory. The traineeship is aimed at career talents, offering them the knowledge, skills and tools to grow into impactful contributors and future leaders within the company.

 

Our solution – a structured and impactful program   
BetterMinds developed a coherent and engaging program consisting of six incremental modules. Each element builds upon the previous one, creating a meaningful arc from start to finish:

  • Kick-off – Launching the journey with energy and intention, connecting participants to each other and the bigger purpose.
  • Deep Dive Connect – Exploring personal values, raising self-awareness, and establishing psychological safety as the foundation for authentic collaboration.
  • Communication & Collaboration – Strengthening interpersonal skills, feedback culture, and cross-functional cooperation.
  • Growth Mindset – Empowering participants to embrace challenges, build resilience, and develop adaptive thinking.
  • Future Career Step – Reflecting on one’s development path, ambitions, and the impact they want to make in their next role.
  • Celebration – Marking the transformation of the past two years and reinforcing a strong professional identity within FrieslandCampina.

 

Results

  • A high-impact learning journey that contributes meaningfully to both individual development and organisational goals.
  • A very positive Net Promoter Score from trainees after 24 months (90%)
  • Participants are assessed after two years, with many confirming their future potential for growth in their potential, a clear indicator of the program’s effectiveness.
  • Trainee retention rate after 24 months, (96%)
